The ubiquitous presence of mobile devices and their ever-increasing functionality is changing the way that people search for information, communicate, and interact. These trends, combined with the evolution of social media, is putting tremendous pressure on businesses and governments alike to adapt.<span id="more-1238"></span>   The impacts are wide-reaching – from communication to outreach, program delivery, and political engagement, governments need to wake up and start realizing how mobile is changing the world.</p>
<p>On Wednesday, October 19<sup>th</sup> between 11:30 am – 12:30 pm on the main stage of the Exhibition Room, come and listen to Jennifer Savage, President of WebDrive Canada, Head of the Web and Mobile Association of Canada and author of Government’s Role in a Mobile Society, speak about how governments need to evolve in order to remain relevant in this game-changing societal shift.</p>

<p>The Account Manager (Project Manager) oversees the design, development and implementation of websites and social media campaigns. Using a variety of standard tools and methods, the account manager communicates with the client and leads multiple project teams to create websites that exceed customer expectations and speaks to the customer’s target audience. Quality, client satisfaction, efficiency, and completion of deliverables are key to the AM role. Because there are many web design projects under varying stages of development, the AM must use organization, communication and trouble-shooting skills to prioritize multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.<br />
<span id="more-537"></span></p>
<p>The ideal candidate for the account manager role has a background in managing multiple website design projects simultaneously and extensive experience working directly with clients.  Strong written and spoken English is a must and bilingualism is a plus. Proven superior client service skills with multiple projects are a MUST.</p>
<p><strong>Required Experience:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>5+ years relevant web project experience</li>
<li>Degree or diploma in Business, Communication, Marketing, Computer Science or related field</li>
<li>Exceptional customer service skills</li>
<li>Exceptional eye for aesthetically pleasing websites</li>
<li>Experience managing project teams</li>
<li>Experience setting out and communicating priorities to delivery teams, while managing multiple projects simultaneously</li>
<li>Excels at delivering projects on-time and within budget, meeting high quality standards and customer expectations</li>
<li>Must have superior written and spoken English</li>
</ul>
<p>*Access to transportation is a MUST as the AM will be required to go to Ottawa occasionally.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>WebDrive Canada is proud to announce that our latest work, a 3D virtual Black History museum, will be featured by the Honourable Jason Kenney, Federal Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Canada, during the launch of Black History Month on February 1st.</p>
<p>We are honoured to invite all who are interested to this Ministerial event  to usher in Black History Month.</p>
<p>The event will celebrate Canada’s deep rooted black history and will feature our 3D virtual museum, called ‘Canadian Black History: An Interactive Experience’. The 3D museum will let users visit a comprehensive and diverse collection of artefacts, videos, audio and 360-degree captures significant to the over 300-years of black history in Canada.  Our work is scheduled to be one of the core highlights of the event.</p>
<p>This event will also feature famous baseball player Mr. Ferguson Jenkins, Dr. Leslie Oliver, President of the Black Cultural Society of Nova Scotia, and Mr. Fitzroy Gordon, President of CARN radio station.
